This exhibition brought together four journeys through Gannan, Daliangshan, Huangnan, and Yunnan. Across different landscapes and traditions, I kept encountering the same quiet force: people choosing to gather, practice, teach, remember, and care for one another.
That became the meaning of the title. An eternal flame is not something frozen in time. It continues because people choose to carry it forward.
During the exhibition, visitors could make a donation and take home a postcard featuring one of the photographs. All funds were directed toward supporting a first-aid station for Longmen Village Primary School in Yongping County, Dali, Yunnan. For me, the fundraiser connected two parts of my interests that had increasingly grown together: cultural storytelling and public health.
